Tim Westwood accused of sexual encounter with 14 year old
A woman is alleging DJ Tim Westwood had sex with her when she was 14 as another 10 women claim they are victims of sexual misconduct.
The woman alleges Westwood, the ex-Radio 1 presenter, was in his 30s when they had sex for the first time.
Four of the women say they were under 18 when the alleged incidents happened, with six saying they were young adults.
The 10 women, who happen to be black, have come forward since an initial investigation which alleged Westwood abused his position in the music industry to take advantage of women in their late teens or early 20s.
The women are not known to each other and have never met. None of them reported the incidents to the police and all but one have asked to remain anonymous.
In a statement in April, Westwood “strongly” denied any wrongdoing.
The BBC, where Westwood worked as a presenter for 20 years, subsequently revealed it had received six complaints against him, including one referred to police.
The DJ, who is the son of Bill Westwood, the former Anglican bishop of Peterborough who died in 1999, began his career on local radio before joining Capital Radio in London.
The now 64, year old was later given his own show by BBC Radio 1.
